Privacy Policy

This policy explains what Red Pixel LLC collects when you use RenderPixels, why we collect it, and who else handles it. It sits alongside our Terms of Service.

We collect what we need to run the service. We don't show ads and we don't sell your data. We count visits to our pages with Fathom Analytics, which uses no cookies and doesn't build profiles of you.

What we collect

  • Account details: your name, email address and password. We store the password as a one-way hash, so we can't read it. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we get your name, email address and that account's ID from them instead of a password.
  • Connected apps: the AI assistants you've authorized, when you authorized them, and the access they hold.
  • Renders: the markup, CSS, fonts and sizes you send, and the Images RenderPixels makes from them.
  • Brand kits: the colors, fonts, logos and notes you save.
  • Usage: how many Renders you make each month and your Credit balance.
  • Purchases: which Credit pack you bought, what you paid, when, and Stripe's reference for the payment. Stripe holds your card details; we never see them.
  • Logs: IP addresses and request details in our server logs, and IP addresses for rate limiting.
  • Page visits: which of our pages are viewed and which sites sent visitors to them, counted by Fathom Analytics.
  • Cookies: the few described under Cookies.

How we use it

  • To run your account and make your Renders.
  • To count your Renders against your free Renders and Credits.
  • To take payments and keep tax and accounting records.
  • To send account emails, such as email verification and password resets.
  • To stop abuse: rate limits, a bot check on sign-up, and suspending accounts that break our Terms.
  • To answer you when you email us.
  • To see which pages people use, so we can improve RenderPixels.

If you're in the EU or UK, our legal bases are the contract with you (running your account, Renders and purchases), our legitimate interest in keeping RenderPixels safe (logs, rate limits, the bot check) and in knowing which pages people use (page visit counts), and our legal obligations (tax and accounting records).

Rendered images are public

Each Render has its own page at a permanent, unlisted link. We don't publish a list of these pages, but anyone who has a link can view and download its Images. Don't render personal or confidential information you wouldn't share by link.

Services we use

These companies handle data for us, each for its own part of RenderPixels:

  • Stripe takes payments and works out sales tax. It receives your purchase details and the card details you enter at checkout.
  • Cloudflare renders your markup in its Browser Run service, and runs the Turnstile bot check on the sign-up page. Turnstile looks at your browser and IP address to tell people from bots.
  • Laravel Cloud hosts RenderPixels and stores its database and files, so it holds everything listed above except card details.
  • Resend sends our account emails. It receives your email address and the message.
  • Google Fonts serves fonts. Our pages load the Inter font from Google, so your browser sends Google your IP address when you visit. When a Render uses a Google font, Cloudflare's browser fetches it, not yours.
  • Google and GitHub sign you in if you choose to log in with them. They tell us your name, email address and account ID, and learn that you use RenderPixels.
  • Fathom Analytics counts visits to our pages. It sets no cookies. To count unique visitors it turns your IP address into a code that changes every day, and it doesn't store your IP address with the visit.

We don't share your data with anyone else, unless the law requires us to.

Cookies

We set a session cookie that keeps you signed in and a security cookie that protects our forms from cross-site request forgery. If you tick "Keep me logged in", we also set a cookie that remembers your sign-in. We use no advertising or tracking cookies.

Stripe Checkout and Cloudflare Turnstile may set their own cookies when you use them.

How long we keep it

We keep your account details, Connected apps, Renders, brand kits and usage for as long as your account exists. If we suspend your account, we keep it and its purchases so we can lift the suspension later.

Deleting your account

To delete your account, email [email protected] from the address on your account. We then delete:

  • your account;
  • your Renders and their Images, so their links stop loading;
  • your brand kits;
  • your Connected apps.

We keep records of your purchases, stripped of your personal details, because tax and accounting rules require them.

You don't have to delete everything to remove one thing: your AI assistant can delete a brand kit, and you can disconnect a Connected app from your dashboard.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] from the address on your account and we'll handle it.

Depending on where you live, for example the EU, the UK or California, the law may give you more rights, such as objecting to how we use your data. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

Security

We hash passwords and serve RenderPixels over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure. If we learn of a breach that affects your data, we'll tell you.

Where your data is processed

Most of the services we use are based in the United States, so your data may be processed there and in other countries where they operate. Fathom Analytics is based in Canada. It handles visits from the EU on servers in the EU and stores only anonymized counts in the United States.

Changes to this policy

When we change this policy, we post the new version here and update the date at the top.
